The crowd funding campaign that started last spring to save the archaeology at Sandby borg wasfully funded by the end of summer. With more than 350,000 SEK donated from a large number of individuals and companies, the road down to Sandby borg could finally be remedied, and the excavations could start as planned on September 18th. Continuous updates from the field work are available at facebook.com/sandbyborg and on sandbyborg.se.

In connection with the crowd funding, we also started an ideal association, Sandby borg's friends, aimed at making available, nurturing and immersing in Sandby borg. Until the first annual meeting held in March 2018, it is now free to join the association. After that it will cost 100 SEK per year and person. If you are interested in joining, please contact Ludvig Papmehl-Dufay at lpd@kalmarlansmuseum.se.
